Anne of Green Gables
So many are familiar with this classic novel from L.W. Montgomery where a talkative, imaginative orphan girl mistakenly ends up in the home of an elderly brother and sister who wanted a boy to help with the farm. What starts out seemingly "tragical" turns into a heartwarming story as the Cuthberts decide to keep Anne and they all grow together. Some have seen the PBS version of this story.
